As we attempt to chart this uncharted territory, I thought it might be helpful to provide daily blog posts that reflect on readings we have done over the course of the year. I was intrigued by the "Shelter in Place" language adopted in some states in the US. With its stress on shelter, the phrase is reassuring. But because it is adapted from terminology used when a shooter is on the loose, it can also be frightening. I'm wondering if we can maintain a sense of reassurance in this moment while not losing sight of the reality of our current situation. I'm also struck by how important it is to learn from where we are now and extend some of those lessons to climate change awareness and action. I'm hoping that this blog can be a place where we think together about all of these issues. At the very least, it will give you all something to do for a few minutes each day.
